Peachland is quiet and character-filled in the winter months, with an exciting and vibrant tourist season from May through September. An hour to a fantastic ski resort in either direction! The quiet months are yours to enjoy with friends, and the vibrant months are yours to share with everyone else. This could be the place you call home.

The EDDIE HAYMOUR Story!
This is an interesting part of Peachland’s History. The “Peachland Castle” is visible along Hwy.97 just south of the Princeton Intersection. Rattlesnake Island is visible across the lake.
An interesting character attempted to build an empire of fun tourist-attractions here, and ran into all sorts of difficulties. It ended up with an armed take-over of the Canadian Embassy in Libya! No kidding??

Here's where I do my dreaming...
The hustle & bustle of the summer season is a wonderful contrast to the peace and small-town feel of the winter months. We used to have an art-filled breakfast and tapas experience at the Beach Avenue Cafe… but it’s gone. A stylish eatery at the corner of 1st & Beach, and the award-winning Gasthaus Restaurant to make you want to come downtown every day of the year!
Make friends with the locals, and the downtown will surely become the center of your social experience. It's tough to stay away from the patios in the summer months, as there's live entertainment almost every night of the week... and of course, there's that legendary Okanagan Sunshine.
There are several top-quality coffee houses in Peachland, and a lovely artisan bakery, all within steps of the most beautiful lake in British Columbia. There are boutique shops and hair-dressers. There are bike & paddle-board rentals, an inflatable kid's water playground, many kilometers of paved walking path along the beach front, two marinas, diving boards, rope swing and beach concession stand at Swimmer's Bay, and gorgeous parks only steps from the lake along the full length of Beach Avenue. We’re dog lovers here… your dog is welcome in the lake pretty much wherever there are no signs specifically posted for other activities such as swimming and boating. We’ve also got a great off-leash dog park on the beach at the south end of the main strip.
Want to head up the mountain? We have zip-lining, off-roading, ATV Tours, camping, secluded lakes, mountain trails and just about every kind of adventure you can imagine. Come up with something special, and it's a sure bet that you'll find somebody to join the adventure! Although well-known as a retirement community, there's also a vibrant element of youthful adventure-seekers in Peachland that you don't often hear about in the old-school media. You'll run into them all over the place when you're downtown, and sharing beers with these laughing, smiling adrenaline junkies just might leave you wondering why it took you so long to get here?
20 minutes south on the highway, you'll find world-class concerts and events at the Okanagan Events Centre, and 20 minutes north you'll find even more events at Prospera Place. Less than an hour and a half in either direction, you'll be rewarded with adventure at Big White and Apex Ski Resorts, and let's not leave out the award-winning wineries throughout the Valley. Try out Distinctly Kelowna Tours for a starter!
We have so much to add in the coming months...
Please be a part of it!
